He sat there, a glass of whiskey in one hand, cigarette in the other as his deep gaze fell upon the brunette at the stage. Her hair in perfect waves fell across her back as hints of lilac shone between her strands. As she sang into the mic, he tipped his eyebrow up, eliciting more words that could ever be spoken by a simple yet entrancing gesture. She couldn't keep her eyes off him. He couldn't keep his eyes off her. He raised his tumbler in motion towards her, downing it in one gulp before lifting his cigarette, pressing it between his lips. He let out a puff of smoke, the scent of sweet blueberries yet earthly musk surrounded her as she deeply inhaled it, closing her eyes as the song was coming to an end. On her last note, her eyes shot open, the stranger having disappeared leaving the scent of the smoke of his cigarette her new obsession.
