The messenger offers him a place in Baetyl, a world of gods, where both fantasy and reality clash together here. The gods have clashed with one another, creating chaos and disorder at every edge of the holy planet. Hart is to help bring balance to the declining world, somehow. Given an opportunity to bring ONE thing with him from his old world, and after serious consideration, he decided to take a video game. Not an ordinary video game, a country-building game, essentially setting life to an entire nation whose technological level exceeds the land around it.
