After Sonic's latest clash with Dr. Eggman shatters the mysterious Paradox Prism, Team Sonic is sent on time-twirling adventure across the newly discovered Shatterverse, to find the seven Chaos Emeralds and pieces of the shattered Paradox Prism to defeat the Doctor and a new masked villain that threatens the Multiverse's safety, but Team Sonic won't need to do it alone, as they will have assistance from not only their friends (& Shadow) but also alternate versions of themselves from those respective worlds.
