After dropping Victoria off at her house, I quickly drove my car home and jumped out quickly stripping and shifting in mid air to run back to her house. After arriving I laid down under the big old oak tree facing her Livingroom window and watched as her mom hooked her up to something. I knew there was something wrong with my mate, but being a shifter and normal human maladies didn't affect us so I couldn't quite put my finger on it. She had the sweet vanilla cinnamon smell that let me know she was my mate, but underneath there was a strange smell I had never smelled.
