This statement caused Eden to become ostracized at the Trainers' School, but was one she wouldn't take to heart until four years later. 

The real reason behind this statement though - is complicated to explain in words. 

Eden's not like other kids... She wasn't "born". She was created in a lab on Cinnabar Island, a secluded island in the Kanto region that is surrounded by water not unlike the Sevii Islands.



Now, four years after she made the statement that shocked people around the world, she's just trying to keep it together with two former Gym Leaders who are attempting to be parents, yet also constantly worry about her. 

Finally leaving home for the first time, she begins her journey in the Sinnoh region with a special Eevee, who has an eerily similar past to her own, but forging her own path as both a Trainer and teenager with so much to live up to freaks her out! It's almost complete, though I had to take a break due to the Fall 2022 semester starting up. 2015: Crystal has gone through the four regions of Kanto, Sinnoh, Johto, and Unova, collecting Pokémon, defeating rivals, and gaining badges, like any other Pokémon trainer. Right after she gained her eighth Gym badge in Unova, she had an urge to visit her home region of Kanto and her friends who live there. After visiting with her family and friends in Pallet Town, she headed to Cerulean Cape to visit Bill, who started up Crystal's PC Pokémon storage system. Bill was in the middle of an experiment and Crystal offers to help, which brings her the ability of a Ditto: the ability to change into any Pokémon. That is, with practice.
