But just once someone noticed me, yes me, and it felt so good. It was good at first, but by the time I had realized the good would never last, the jaws of the trap were closed. I was far away and at his mercy, and yet another stood by me, one who could rescue me from my mistakes.

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him.
