Historians call the time BAE, Beginning After the End, all historical data kept in shared digital memory was lost in the Great Power Outage. All that remains are random paper clippings, old and ancient memory drives, partially damaged books and a few that somehow survived harsh climates and targeted attacks from the people who came before. Historians have turned to the underdeveloped LV machine, Lost Voices, to relive moments in the past and to make up for the centuries separated from the Great Power Outage and their current Post Recovery Age. Their goal is to remember the lost world. Many have given their lives in this pursuit. These are their accounts.

As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings.
