Never a Chooser

"Okay well Hailey is one of the only good players Benny man," I laughed, "He's not wrong Benny".

Hailey Mathews is an amazing baseball player, but she gets under estimated. Just because she's a girl. She was gifted a talent to throw and hit a ball ever since she stepped into the Sandlot. Born with the talent to swing and hit home runs every at bat she earned. Born with the skill to feild pop flies hit by Porter in the outfeild and pop them pack to second. Always born with the skill to listen, learn, love, loose and still play her heart out so her friends admire her. And she doesn't need to learn and love and all of that junk, because shes had people admiring her since she first joined the team.

"Can I join?" said a girl walking onto our feild, "Girls play softball, not Baseball" That's when I, Benjamin rodriguez witnessed Hamilton Porter get nailed in the head with a hard throw.

The Sandlot is a baseball field full of kids just like Hailey. Kids who play for the fun of the game. So when Scotty Smalls comes in to fill in the extra position space, Benjamin Rodriguez notices that his friends aren't as accepting of smalls at all. Benny had always known them for being welcoming, especially Hailey, when even HAiley doesn't look to humbled to see her new partner in the outfeild. He get's mad that his friends are acting tough and cool because a new person wants to have something to do over the summer.

"I love you, but I don't know if you love me or Benny."

While there are problems on the field, there are problems off the field too. Benny and his best friend Yeah-yeah both know that Hailey has feelings for them ,and they have feelings for her, but now it's a fight to the death for the love of Hailey Rose Marie Mathews. And Hailey has to choose between the only boys who would help her through the process of warming up to yet another meber.
