Maggie has worked hard to get over Steve Harrington. She eventually realized that the former king of Hawkins High was never really into her. He didn't even know her name. Yet, she would have done anything for him. But it's hard to completely get over your first love. Thankfully, Maggie's best friend, Robin, keeps her reality in check.
Things start to change when Maggie starts hanging out with Eddie Munson (aka "The Freak"). She could really see herself liking Eddie. That is, if it wasn't for Steve trying to charmingly insert himself into the picture. Just when she thinks she's over him, she's right back in the same place where she was two years ago during sophomore year. The same place she doesn't want to be.
Will Steve finally admit he has feelings for Maggie, the girl he barely noticed in high school? Or does he just not like the fact that she is swooning over someone else?
Eddie Munson can't stand Steve Harrington.
More specifically, he can't stand losing to him. Not when Steve catches Eddie's attention with that stupid smile or how stupidly hot he looks in that fitted blue skirt.
No, Eddie can't stand Steve Harrington--he hates him. At least, that's what he'd tell you.
Or: Steve and Eddie are cheerleaders, for opposing schools (and yes, it's normal for the boys to wear the same uniforms as the girls, because I said so).
