As one of Stark Industries' leading researchers in computer technology, Collins Carbonell's skill rivaled that of her brother's which made them both targets of several less than moral organizations. After attempts on their lives were unsuccessfully made, Collins rejected her brother's persistent offer of staying with him. Despite her general public anonymity, she was injured and her safety jeopardized after she was attacked in her apartment, forcing her to escape. Not wanting to draw attention to herself by going to the emergency room, she went to the one place she dreaded returning to: the Avengers Compound. Her plan was to recover and retreat, but it seemed impossible as she encountered more familiar faces. Will her plans to leave change?

THIS STORY HAS MOVED TO TUMBLR! Details given in the latest update. A story in which America's favorite Captain gives a new life and family to a five-year-old girl who has suffered well beyond her years... During an intense Hydra-disassembly mission, the Avengers are able to successfully detain countless Hydra personnel, as well as several of the evil agency's test subjects. But in the midst of the harrowing scene, America's favorite Captain is asked to investigate the final holding cell in the experimentation lab. There, he finds a small child huddled fearfully in a corner with a blindfold over her eyes, a complete contrast to the other prisoners who were all super-built, raging with anger, and ready to fight. Over his earpiece, the other Avengers are able to offer Captain scrambled bits of information they've all gathered about this mysterious creature, referred to as simply "Girl." But when she's brought back to the Avenger's Headquarter's to be further investigated, he finds out that there's much more to this little girl's story than anyone had initially imagined. With the seemingly complete elimination of Hydra, the heroic group are offered more freedom and time to make real lives for themselves. But Steve Rogers has formed a soft spot for a certain fellow ex-test subject. Along with the help of his friends, will he be able to help Girl heal and find hope for her future? And what will happen when Girl's dark past attempts to catch back up with her? [Trigger warning: physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of a child.] [Spoiler alert: This fan-fiction will include many unavoidable spoilers to most of/if not all the films in the Avengers series. Falling into Place- MCU AU

63 parts Complete

Autumn never expected much from life. Quiet, reserved, and always on the outskirts, she was used to being overlooked. But when a college tech conference brings her to Avengers Tower, everything changes. A sudden attack traps her inside, forcing her into the orbit of Tony Stark and the Avengers. As Autumn navigates her unexpected internship under Stark Industries, she finds herself drawn into a world far bigger than she ever imagined. Between late-night coffee-fueled work sessions, reluctant friendships, and moments of vulnerability with heroes who are more human than she thought, she slowly begins to carve out a place for herself. But old habits die hard, and Autumn isn't sure she belongs in their world, or any world at all. Can she learn to trust the people around her? Or will she let the walls she's built keep her from the family she never knew she needed? A story of quiet strength, found family, and the journey to belonging, because sometimes, even the most unexpected pieces fall into place. Disclaimer: I do not own the MCU. I only own Autumn and her story line.
