Ranboo: the tall new kid, and Tommy: the annoying-at-first-but-actually-nice kid.
They didn't even know the other existed. That was until their best friend, Tubbo, decided it would be a great idea to introduce two people who didn't know they shared the same best friend.
Nothing interesting happened after that. They even started getting along! Then something happened on Halloween. Because obviously, everything weird happens on Halloween night, right?
Either way, it got resolved (with a lot of questions being shoved aside) and life goes on. Everything returns to normal. Well, at least it seems like it does, but not for Ranboo and Tommy.
Between horrid dreams that seemed too real to be worthless nightmares and teachers out to get them, they realize that they might know each other more than they know... or rather knew.

In the ""wise"" words of c!Ranboo, "choose people not sides." Sometimes, though, you have to choose a side. Tommy's lived in the same town forever, his two older brothers taking care of him and all the other crimes in the city as the top heroes after the death of their parents. From running around town with Tubbo (and maybe Ranboo sometimes) to skipping school (also with Tubbo), Tommy could probably take on the world as long as he had his best friend beside him. After a war that has gone for centuries, King Philza of Zariya decides to invite his enemy kingdom to sign a peace treaty. But it would only make sense if that King brought his own son to see Zariya. Beautiful friendship blossoms between Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo as they conspire in secret. They don't know exactly what happened that night, but they know for sure there was foul play. King Philza and his eldest son, Wilbur, immediately jump to conclusions and accuse the Kingdom of Fremoor for committing theft of a sacred artifact. Now, it's a race against time. The three princes must find the courage and bravery to do the impossible to save their home and possibly, all of humanity. Wilbur is only months away from being crowned king... but is that what he truly wants? Tommy is the youngest of the family. Always looked down upon. If only there was something he could do to show everyone that he deserves as much praise as his family. Tubbo, the charismatic fellow who sometimes feels like his role of middle child is a little to literal. He dreams of greater things. Sure, being a prince and living in comfort was amazing. Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him. "You look awful...Come with us, mate." But Tommy didn't want to. That is until he hears a tale of monsters and mysteries that lay outside the city walls. Tubbo hates his home. Most would consider him lucky, being the son of one of the city's founders, but in reality it is hell. He just wants to leave and find something new. Far, far away from this madness. If he could, He would love to run past those gates if it meant pissing off his father. Ranboo has never had a home... That he remembers at least. He lives alone under a small bridge. Despite that, life has been kind to him so far. He is happy, and wouldn't mind if it stayed that way. Yet he feels like something is missing... something that may be beyond the walls.
