Jesse Booker was a scared and shy girl, who was friends with a group known as the losers. Eddie, Bill, Richie and Stanley.
Jesse was always afraid. Afraid of getting hurt, afraid of Henry Bowers, afraid of dying. But, most of all she was afraid of the unknown. She didn't know what to expect from what was to come, therefore earning the name Jellyfish Jess by Bowers and his friends. The only person ever to call her Jess is Bill.
Whenever around anyone that wasn't the other losers, Jesse would stay quiet. Her favorite thing to do when she was alone was listen to her walkman.
That's what she was doing now, on her way to go meet up with the other losers.
