In a world where everyone is given special abilities at birth, your social status depends on this ability. An ability takes practice to control, some spend years trying to master their power, although, it seems like some never will. In extremely rare cases, a power does not reveal itself for years, it could even be until you are halfway through your life that one's ability makes itself seen, this was the case for a high school student attending Anastasis Academy in Colorado, his name was John Keys.

While everyone is assured powers at birth, these powers aren't always the most helpful, for example, have you ever wanted the ability to grow a small lemon tree right in the palm of your hand? Or maybe a huge lemon tree in your backyard? "That can't be a power, it's useless", you might be saying, but the student librarian at Anastasis Academy, Jaren Smith, would disagree to such a statement. He believes it's useless, for sure, but it's definitely an ability, he has it himself.
