Where I Belong (WangXian Modern AU)
[Completed] BOOK 1 OF WHERE I BELONG -A Modern AU- Wei Wuxian has a mess for a past; his parent's death, an adoption he didn't believe he deserved, a past self he hated with all he had, and an incident he'd rather not talk about ever again. He naturally thought of the world as a place where fairness didn't exist. He learned to care much lesser, to limit his attachments, and built walls around his heart so no one can break in. But when his long-lost childhood friend comes back to his life, his world starts to change, shaping it, molding it into a beautiful illusion. "Lan Zhan," he calls him, and when he looks back with those graceful eyes, he knew he'd never look away again. That day, he had lost his lover, his uncle's trust, and the little freedom he had in his life. Seven years later, he seeks his old life, and he's determined to keep what he loves close to him. When the two reunite after their long separation, when the void in their souls pervades with each other, the high stakes don't seem to matter any longer. Sometimes When We Touch
A modern day AU where Wei WuXian is a doctor who has his whole world taken away from him. And a former classmate who is so willing to give it all back to him. I was flipping through youtube and saw a video on XZ as Dr. Gu. Which got me thinking 'what if WWX became a doctor?'. And that spiraled into... this. The first chapter is... rough. Sorry-not-sorry. It will get better. The title and chapter names come from Dan Hill's song "Sometimes when we touch". Which has been playing on my phone almost nonstop for a week now.Complete
