All you can hear are the sirens. Sirens in the distance calling. Reporters and police gathering everyone in homes. Is this it? Is this how I die? I haven't told him I love him. How will I? Outside people are screaming and running, it's like the end of the world. I don't know what is happening. "This is not a test, everyone remain indoors with doors and windows locked, a killer is on the loose." That sentence haunted me. It brought me back to my parents. They were killed. I was helpless. I did nothing just screamed and cried. I was 6 years old. Now I'm living with my best friend Steve. His parents offered me to live with them. I'm 16 now. But this killer won't get away like the last one did. I will catch this one. But my secret may be revealed. I will catch this one. Welcome to WaterVille. The serial killer town.

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?

There was no electricity, and there was no way for the storm Sirens to be sounding, yet they were. The entire Town was awake; everyone had a weapon. They had grabbed guns, knives, swords, and bats if they could be wielded and used for self-defense; Renee aimed her rifle at the trees, looking desperately for an explanation. You will be red by your best hunter, Renee Madison." Renee felt her blood go cold as she stared wide-eyed at the ship. She was unknowingly dropping her gun at the news. " she will be your leader; she will be my prize. You have a time advantage. Go!" The ship took off, looking for a place to land, all while the news sank into the Town's residence. Renee had known she had fucked up when she fired at one of those predators and hit him. She had proven herself worthy of the hunt. Now she has to face the consequences, not only her but her entire Town had to. Renee had to win this hunt; the fate of her Town depended on it.
