A new band has arrived in Ninjago City, and Lloyd is suspicious of them for some reason. Once they met, the ninjas learned that there was more to Ninjago than they had ever imagined, as well as many other well-kept secrets that the first Spinjitzu master had never intended for anybody to know. They must gather the six spirit stones and meet the original elemental spirits in order to discover these hidden secrets, and they won't be undertaking this expedition alone, of course.

A long time ago when the First Spinjitsu Master was present. A companion of his was there to protect him when he needed it the most and helped provide light to Ninjago, the place that the master created before disappearing. The guardian then decided that it was time to rest after serving its master. May the light guide you through your journey."
