This is kind of a weird story about a girl, named Pixl, who had to run away from home and learn to live homeless. No one wanted to adopt her and she had no other family apart from her parents, of which, are alcoholics.

When she is roughly around the age of 20-21 Pixl sees a child being mistreated by their 'mother'. She goes up to the so-called 'mother' and confronts them, seeing a ripped up adoption paper on the floor.

To Kade Sanford Black, falling for his best friend Xanthie Lorenz, a serious and drop-dead handsome songwriter, was a line he did not want to cross.
