The Shadow Guards

Adeline Black is nothing but misfortunate. As she closely nears her 15th birthday , her parents worry of her not finding a trade.
Desperate, they seek her an apprenticeship with the Shadow Guards. The defenders of Ithicous. Protecting the civilians from creatures of the dark.

James Valdeen is a soon to be Shadow Guard, with the beginning of his apprenticeship near.
With his head on straight, he is determined to succeed.
But when his fate crosses with Adeline Black's his goal becomes challenged.

And in the end the two must decide: Either they are to find their stride among the Shadow Guards, or turn to the Darkness.
