It's a zombie apocalypse. The 3 siblings and a few other people they picked up have to try to survive in the wasteland with famine, lack of medicine, and of course, zombies. Why did this happen? Who caused this apocalypse to happen? Pretty soon they learn that the zombies aren't even much of a problem anymore, it is the consequences of the zombies. Lack of food, supplies and poor mental health kill more than bit marks.

My personal take on the Mutant Apocalypse. Earth's human population has been annihilated by deaf creatures with enhanced eyesight that attack anything they see. Marcus, the turtles, and all the other mutants remaining in the city must fight to survive. Rated R for language, bloody savagery, a few hardcore sex scenes, horror violence in general, and some pretty disturbing stuff.
