Lee was just your avenge girl from a third world country who was fascinated with the superheros of her world. He won't call himself a fan of heroes unless you count Moon Knight, Spiderman and Captain America. They knew a good few people who won't call Moon Knight and Spiderman heroes because they worked outside the law and they also knew people who still won't call Captain America a hero because of the whole thing with the accords back in 2016. But Lee herself had no involvement in the Superhero world until she moved to New York to attend college and ended up rooming with some interesting people.
