It was meant to be taken as a joke. "The only problem we could have is if they forbid the writing/reading of books and we'd all have to become underground criminals sneaking into places to find a library that wasn't torn down and hoping we don't get caught by the police and be forced to watch horrible movie adaptations of the books we love." But the O.A.R. (Organization Against Reading) saw it as an opportunity. How can one boy live in a world without reading? Can there be a way to change this horrible future? Will they be successful in ending the reign of technology? Or has books and paper met its time? Every reader's nightmare: Reading is Forbidden.

"It's funny how a small, foolish belief can either bloom into something that brightens your life... or destroy it entirely. That's exactly what happened to me- the boy who everyone looked at as if he were bad luck, a curse, a sin that should've never existed in this already damned world. But what happens when you start believing it yourself? When you're forced to witness the terrifying sight of a corpse in the pitch- black darkness? It didn't end there. Because of that so-called bad luck... I met you. You became my bad luck. You became my eternal curse. ⚠️Content warning: This story explores dark and sensitive themes. Please note that these elements do not reflect my personal beliefs or values, and nothing here is meant to romanticise toxic or harmful behaviour. If such topics make you uncomfortable, I sincerely recommend not reading it. And also, This is my very first book, and English is not my first language. There might be some grammar or spelling mistakes here and there, so if you notice anything feel free to let me know! I'd be more than happy to fix them and improve. 💕 Thank you for giving this story a chance - your support means the world to me! ✨ New chapter every Saturday🫶🏼
