Zelda had never known romantic love, all she knew was the love of her people, her country. They were her entire world, all she knew and cared about was them. So when a neighboring country threatened her own she would put anything on the line to protect them, even herself.
Sebastian was the egotistical, spoiled, attractive prince of said kingdom that was invading hers. He always got anything he wanted. He had women throwing themselves at his feet, why would he give that up?
That's what Zelda had to figure out. How would she make him fall in love with her? Why would he give up his bachelor status and settle down? He had money, fame and didn't care about politics. So how was she going to do this?

It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever. But the enchantress also placed the curse upon his innocent castle staff, who were transformed into antiques; suffering for the prince's mistake(s) in small, rusting, metallic bodies. Life was hard enough for the staff, but now - it was unbearable. ~ This story will go through the staff's struggles before, DURING, and after they were cursed. It will also fill plot holes and extend the ending of Beauty And The Beast. They took her. That's the last thing that burns in my mind, at least the most important thing that can come to mind.
