Adamant Valley is the sleepiest beach town in the Shartastian Empire. It's home to impressive waves, some to-die-for mineral baths and a seasonal population of surfers.

But beneath the mountain, the dwarves of Adamant Valley hide a secret worth more than diamonds or gold. The veins of adamantine running under their home can power weapons to drive wars and conquer kingdoms.

Kivel Thanechild, heir to the mines and leader of her people, believes adamantine can be used for more than the engines of death. And, inspired by her best friend, Jayne, the owner of the valley's most luxurious spa, she's determined to prove that adamantine can fuel the empire's next peaceful age.

Yet not everyone wants the old ways to change.
