But she was just as headstrong. "No!" she yelled back, fighting against the wind, the tears, the harsh wind of this cold night.
He turned to her, his eyes softening. "It's alright. I'll be fine."
"Then let me be fine with you." She turned to him, entangling their hands together. "Please."
It didn't matter that they were in a middle of an ongoing battle. It didn't matter that their stories started differently. All that mattered was that at this moment, they were together.
