Ceiqa's people had always known these things, but they had never truly understood them. The river Atlahiolakan which ran through the jungle-forest of Araltaixn, the water in it was different, and from drinking of it their ancestors had become different as well, or so the stories told. Whenever her kind made use of their flesh: their eyes, ears, nose, tongue or skin, they would sense, comprehend, the things beyond the things: the innermost shapes, and innermost substances; and there was great power in that comprehension. Those who lived by the banks of Atlahiolakan had almost on instinct learned to harness some of that power for their own purposes, as though it was a part of them. Though those things the common folk knew were but a shadow to what there truly was to be known about the world.

"I imagine him as he is now, a cold echo of himself-a captive god, shackled to the ground he once knew well. For him, and for me, time crawls in the same sluggish circle. I picture the smallness of the space we put him in, and wonder if he remembers like I do." She was always drawn to storms, much like how lightning is drawn to the sky. Even at a young age, little Azura would stand beneath the thunderclouds that often visited the Sky'Lands during their journey across the Crystallin Sea, singing in a dead tongue. The chaotic beauty of the storms gave her solace, a stark contrast to the suffocating control of her makeshift family. Despite what had been promised, Azura couldn't help but feel a certain coldness each time a storm moved on without her. A coldness that only grew stronger and more present with each passing season, leaving her torn between the safety of familiarity and a longing for what lay beyond the open sea. Change had always taken something from her, bringing fear and loss of what had once been familiar. Facing change alone was terrifying, especially from the perspective of a gifted girl who had been isolated all her life. From the moment he was born, Damien's life had never been his own. Orphaned amidst the lower class and considered property of the Crown, it seemed his future had been set in stone, predetermined by those born with silver blood. To work arduously with his head held low and his mouth sealed shut until death would come for him. A death that seemed mockingly out of reach. Scars covered his body, some inflicted by the hands of the upper class, while others he had done to himself, as there was no such thing as a free slave in the Kingdom of Dunstan as long as the Royals lived. --------------------------------------------------- As of 2024, this will be the official place for this story of mine. ||Book 1 of the Diamond Series|| The world had fallen into chaos a long time ago. Creatures came and enslaved the human race: Vampires, Lycans/Werewolves and Demons. They took and slaughtered thousands of innocent people. Men, Women and Children. After suffering for ten years, another set of beings came. They had enormous wings and a shining silver rings floating above their heads. Rings that could be used as a weapon if necessary. These creatures were called 'Angels'. They were kind and honestly the opposite of every supernatural creature that existed in that era. They built their kingdom protecting as many humans as they could but the dark creatures had other things planed. There was a war that broke out. Every man for themselves or more specifically, every creature for themselves. The war went on for almost 500 years. Then there was a woman. She wasn't an Angel or Vampire or Lycan or Demon. Turns out she was a hybrid of all four. More powerful than anything. No one knows for sure how this hybrid was made and at some point, no one cared. Her name was Elaka. She was seen as a priestess. Elaka was the savior of all humans. She created a boarder and the world was divided in two: The Land of Light; was so peaceful that it had to be shielded from the world. Elaka had put a protective hidden wall around the kingdom so no one would come in unless brought in by the citizens. There were humans that lived there and their lives were a paradise. And total peace. And there was the Dark land. Where every other creature lived. The three major kingdoms tolerated each other for as long as they could. Years passed without war. Until Elaka suddenly vanished. Without her, the world would become chaotic again. The crystal was lost in the forest. So many have searched for it but never succeeded. Even if they ever found it, the legend says it was set in stone. It was glued to a tree and only 'The Diamond in The Rough' could pull it out. That person was never found.

In a small village, half hidden along a mountainside, Kieren was slinking between shadows. Footsteps sure even with so little moonlight. The softest brush of bare skin against knobbled and far-reaching trees. Not even a whisper of sound from stepping on the coarse dirt beneath his feet. In this world, Drakes were the epitome of power amongst the species. Only making up 10% of the population, humans making up the other 90%. Drakes could be found in the highest positions of power in communities or in positions to protect others (such as guards, watchmen, knights, patrolman). No one questioned this, dragons taking care of their own. A private species with traditions and rules that only dragons were privy to. Making sure none over-reached so that there would always be peace and harmony amongst the dragon territories and between humans. A symbiosis that all worked hard to maintain. Humans were born with vibrant and colorful hair throughout the world. The more rare the color, the more blessings, respect, luck and riches came to them. Fiery red, leafy green, aqua blue. Eyes that matched their brightest feature. Dressing in the same colors or even brighter shades to demonstrate their extravagance, their standing in society. They normally worked side by side with the higher ranking dragons, helping to keep harmony. All Kieren knew was that he would have to remain cloaked, face obscured at all times. The villagers said he was a defect, so they made him their servant. His skin too pale. Form too slight. Eyes not right. An ugly thing where he should be thankful they did not kill him right away. To be grateful for their pity and staying their hand. The worst, they would tell him, was about the coloring of his features; his hair and eyes. It was a color that had never been seen before amongst humans or dragons. *Please read tags! Don't like, don't read, don't leave unhelpful nasty comments.

10 parts Complete

Long ago, our planet was visited by beings from another world, and they built cities here and created human beings here based on their own DNA but modified to suit the Earth's environment. We humans referred to them as their gods, who taught them the knowledge of their world, on which our world was modeled after. But alas, they were flawed beings, just like us humans. They had complicated romantic relationships with each other and with humans, and also led human populations to fight war with each other using weapons of mass destruction over their petty disagreements. Human beings are still part of that legacy. A group of enlightened people who have reincarnated many times from those days to learn that this is not the way forward. Pooling their resources together, they have decided to try and put an end to this vicious cycle once and for all. But how much do they know? How much control do they have over their destiny? Will they succeed? Or will they fall prey to the machinations of their enemy, whose identity they don't even know.
