It's been 3 years since the accident. It's been 3 years since his last restful night. The dreams were getting worse, and there was not a thing Mitch could do to help him.
Scott has been acting different lately. He wasn't sleeping right. His head would always fill with troubling thoughts. He would act strange if Mitch was around other guys. And he would always describe a man who wasn't there.
The man, very much alive, has been looking for revenge after being cheated out of his profession by Scott.
But he's found out that he can't hurt Scott in any way; he's used to his games.
There's only one way to get through to Scott. And that getting into the thing he loves most:
Mitch.

"Mitch's mom left me a letter before she passed away. I just got it today, and I'd like to read it to everyone." I unfold the paper, and I clear my throat. "Dear Scott, I always knew you and Mitch would end up together. I know we never officially met, but Kirstie told me all about you. She said that you and Mitch will love each other and will be perfect together. If that's true, Scott, I want you to promise me a couple of things. I want you to promise me that you'll always make Mitch happy, whether it's in a marriage, relationship, or friendship. I want you to promise you'll never give up on him. He needs some stability in his life, Scott, and I'm hoping you'll be his rock. I want you to promise me that he can trust you in good times and in bad. A New Beginning

Some smut, mainly PG-13 but if there is more than that, it will be listed next to the chapter title with an (R). Possibly mild triggers of depression later in the story, but not much. The chapters "Confrontation" and "A Game" are forming a background for some fans who may not know as much about Pentatonix or where they go/what they do as some of my friends wanted to read but don't know much about them.
