"Whatever this is that is lurking within, I am not having it." Snape paused before sitting on the bed's side and tipping the goblet back. He swished the harsh liquid around his mouth before swallowing, letting out a gritty pant. The candle flickered, and occasionally short puffs of smoke would bellow and fade. "There isn't time, there's never going to be time." he ground his jaw in anger, "And who does he think he is?" his voice hesitated before his expression dulled. "It was probably nothing...nothing at all," the smell of whiskey brushed his nostrils - another swallow. "There could only be clandestine meetings. Dead of night, or bright early morn. Disclosure would certainly be the deliverance of the utmost fallout. And because of this...it shall be disdained." the goblet emptied down his throat, his vision starting to blur. A clink of the metal to the tabletop sounded before Snape laid back, his eyes glazed over. He let his legs dangle off of the edge of the bed as the whiskey crept through his body and finally, he could finally relax.
