Luffy was born in a very poor family, She only eat 2 times for a day, it made her so skinny, she got no choise beside to work in some market at her young age. Luffy father often tortures her and her mother. When Luffy mother and Luffy receive their salary her father always takes 2/3 of their salary, this makes them poorer.
