Eleven year old Ciara O'Connell is an orphan - or at least that's what she thinks. After a tragic car crash that leaves her hanging to life by a thread, she wakes up to learn that her entire life has been a lie, that she has two loving parents and older brothers who have been searching for her ever since she was taken away years ago.

But now she's back, and they're overjoyed. But it isn't the reunion they always hoped it would be; Ciara is damaged and can't even walk without assistance, as well as closed off and secretive.
