She deals with all the changes and drama the only way she knows how, by putting off a breakdown for 'Later Caroline' to deal with. 

Only 'Later Caroline' might not be able to deal with the awakening of her curse, dealing with the Originals, her father torturing her, finding her soulmate, and the stress of magical twins in her stomach. Even if those events are a months and years apart.
