"Did you really believe this was over?" His slow, monotoned chuckle was a mockery to the weak flame of my being. "You made yourself believe that just because you managed to evade our defenses, that this was over- that we'd simply give up?"
I wanted to bite the hand that stroked my cheek with a sweet and gentle air - my eyes doing me the favor of glaring at his own pair of deep teal in reaction to the numbing buzz of electricity that left me defenseless.
