This is the retelling of the story of Jairus' Daughter from the gospels. It is written from the perspective of the little girl that Jesus raised. I wrote this for a school assignment and decided to edit and post it for the enjoyment of others.

I read a Tumblr post while back about Odysseus meeting and adopting the prophet Cassandra, who had been cursed so that "Nobody would believe her." Of course, if he's going to adopt Cassandra, whom he never met in the original story... why not adopt the kid he was supposed to toss over a wall, and perhaps change the fate of what's supposed to happen along the way? I feel I should offer a disclaimer; this will not be a book of pretty words and flowing writing. It might even have an odd format with short stories, prayers, poems, journal entries, and autobiographical tendencies. There will be raw, unfiltered emotion because I have always been a very emotionally driven person, prone to oversharing. This isn't a tutorial or a teaching manual, or a guide to Christianity. Hello!!! You might be coming from my previous Daily Bible Reading and Prayer, or you might be new. Either way, welcome! If you are wondering whether you should read the first one first, I would say, you can if you want, but you really don't have to. So what is this book exactly? The title is pretty self explanatory, but I will explain more. I started this because I used to neglect my devotions, always making excuses. By doing this I am keeping myself accountable, I say I will do a chapter a day, so if I don't, I will be lying. How I do this is first I copy and paste a chapter from the Bible(I'm currently in Hebrews and Psalms), then as I read it, I make notes, and then I pray. I hope you will be blessed by this book! Btw, I'm using ESV for this one, I used KJV for the last one. I want to try ESV because lots of people, including my crush, say it is more accurate. I do try to update this every day, but I go to Bible study on Thursdays and every other Sunday, and I often don't get home till rather late, so I don't always do this those days.

Well, what would have made me leave my one month daughter in front of the orphanage door , as her mother what pushed me to the extent of leaving her,not being there to see her first sit,crawl,walk ,hear her say her first words hoping it would be related to me, hear her call out to me when she cried, stay up at night with her singing some lullaby,read her some stories, tell her that there was a prince charming who would love her as her father loved me but where was I , staying far away from her, God knows how terrible a mother I was leaving her without even looking back. "I love you Treasure, always and forever, I'm sorry darling, I'm really sorry", I said as I cried telling myself do I really have to do this then I left without turning back hoping she would never hate me,she would remember how much I love her.

This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental.
