“Daddy!” the little girl cried as she watched him beat and abuse her mother. “Don’t you dare call me that you little mutt!” he hissed rage coating his voice as he reached out and slapped her. The little girl had no idea what was going on or why her father had slapped her, she was only five and she had always been daddy’s little girl so why had he just slapped her? She felt the salty tears stream down her face and her cheek was still stinging, when she looked up at her father she saw the look of disgust edged on his face along with disappointment. If only she had known that in only a couple months she would become the packs punching bag, her father’s punching bag.

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, deeper into the woods away from my pack that was chasing me and into the neighboring pack, the Black Moon Pack territory. I ran until I fell into a clearing which turned out to be the front yard of the Black Moon pack Alpha house. I was almost to the door when I remembered the leather jacket I brought. I turned back to the room and just as I entered the most wonderful smell hit my nose. My wolf sprang forward and I grabbed Alpha Andrews throwing him across the room. I Knew i was on the verge of shifting but it was pointless in trying to calm my wolf. "YOU DARE LAY YOUR HAND ON MY MATE!" I growled then grabbed his head smashing it into the wall knocking him out and turned to my mate. She looked at me with wide frightened eyes and backed away. I knew that my eyes were glowing red and my canines were out but I was pissed and didn't have a good temper. When she stepped away from me again I let out a growl and she instantly froze. "MINE."
