Aubrey Bloom, a perfectly healthy sixteen year old has a great life. At least, everyone thinks so. She's actually been living under the house of an extremely abusive aunt that makes her life a living hell, and as if things aren't bad enough, she has the biggest soccer game of her life in the next few weeks, and to distract her from it all comes in a mysterious boy by the name of Elijah Evans. As charming as he is muscular, Aubrey finds this guy very intriguing, but will she be able to find out more about this mysterious boy with a big game and an abusive aunt?
