Two royal heretics who are first in line to the throne of their rightful kingdom meets in a grand ball held by one of the Prince's. They tried to keep their relationship a secret until the proper time comes but, what happens when a rumour spreads and they can't contain it anymore? Will they fall apart or will they secure their love without judgements and fear of getting caught?
Will Espresso's strict parents allow this kind of behavior? Will Madeleine's mother accept the fact that she won't have a decent son to not cause trouble for her every time she turns her back?

An AU where Espresso was raised with the Cookies Of Darkness. Since he was merely a child, Espresso's one and only desire was to prove his worth to Dark Enchantress, his mother. He and his siblings were taught to despise the Vanilla Kingdom and its inhabitants, sparking an endless war between the light and the dark. Madeleine is a paladin of the Divines, the Vanilla Kingdom's knight commander and savior, and almost immediately he is intrigued by the coffee mage on the opposing side. He is convinced that good exists in Espresso's heart, along with the hopes that he'll join them. A violent circumstance leads to Espresso being captured and held within the castle walls of the Vanilla Kingdom with no magic and nobody to help him. But of course, this was all but a great opportunity for Madeleine to persuade the stubborn mage into leaving the Cookies of Darkness behind.
