Vaun knows eventually his Destiny will call upon him. Growing up he thought he was ready to accept it, but after meeting and spending several years with his beloved Olivia. He wants nothing to do but refuse it. As a reaper, his job and destiny are very important to the world. Vaun isn't ready to sacrifice all his memories and feelings for Olivia just to follow an inherited destiny of guiding souls to the afterlife. Vaun always thought he'd have more time with Olivia, but nothing can keep destiny from knocking at the most inconvenient times.
