"If you wish upon a Star... your dreams will come true." -Disney Every young child has looked up at the sky and remembered this saying, hoping that their wish will come true. In this world, society has ended and monsters have taken over the Earth. Slowly, but surely, humanity was able to recover by creating safe spots called citadels. This was only possible due to the wishes. Once, when every child reaches the age of 16, they are permitted to make a wish on the first star they see. The wishes made by all are granted through agents, which are the stars they wished upon. They are responsible for guiding the person and answering their wishes. In order for humanity to survive, the wishes bestow magical powers on them to defeat the monsters. Cassandra Onju was born into a family that was desperate to climb the social hierarchy. They indoctrinated their children, Cassandra and her sister Ida, to wish for powers to help them rise in status. Cassandra did everything she could to please her parents. She was top of her class, and she created the image that she was the perfect daughter. And, when she finally turned 16, she made her wish. Months passed by and nothing happened. No sign of an agent nor some kind of interference. Eventually, Cassandra came to believe that she was an Abandoned, someone whose wish was not granted. She was heartbroken and shunned by her parents. Eventually, Cassandra accepted it and moved on. But now, after graduating from college and getting her degree, a strange man appeared in front of her house. "Hi," he chirped. "I'm Coro, your new agent." Finally, after almost seven years had elapsed, an agent had appeared at her door.

"We don't have a Caretaker. We have a Creationeer. And we love her." ~Humanity. We think we're from here, but are we really? What happened to us before then, and who was involved? Kit - a young B-Tier Creationeer - didn't want this job. She's not trained to be an Intelligent Species Caretaker, and yet she's forced to care for the last remnants of a damaged and traumatized humanity by an old, malicious evil. After carrying us around in a modified to-go habitat bubble for 18K years, Kit wants a vacation, but is hesitant to leave us alone on our new planet she built; Earth. She confides in Pan - an A-Tier Caretaker and Kit's best friend and roommate. She reveals the full story of how she came to be in possession of us and why she can't hand us over to a licensed Caretaker. Pan reveals the tragic truth of the first 10 years of our existence before Kit found us. The new knowledge Ignites a fire in both. So the two young Ethereals come up with another plan that involves the three grad school roommates, Pan, Sid, and Kit, taking us on a long road trip to the Andromeda galaxy for some good old fashioned revenge- justice. And also Screw Jim. (warning: Contains strong language.) Please comment and vote. :) I'd really appreciate it. ^_^ (This idea was born from the second I saw a photo of Earth from orbit showing the glow of our atmosphere and thought, "Haha! We live on a bubble planet." :) ) NOTE: They're not gods. This is not theology. They don't have all the answers, they're not all powerful, and they can't do everything. They're closest equivalent in a fandom would be like lesser cousins to the Q. In this AU, Humanity knows about Kit. They don't deify her. To them, Kit's presence is normal, tangible, and real. She's always been there.
