Let's Pretend...

Kelly Black has never had a boyfriend, but then again, she's never really wanted one - until now.

Kelly is crazy about Alan Rogers, the handsome star of the football team. The trouble is, he only seems to like girls who already have boyfriends, so Kelly comes up with what she hopes is the perfect plan. She asks her friend Marcus to pretend he's in love with her and he agrees to play along. He whispers in her ear in the hallways, shares her straw in the lunchroom and holds her hand wherever they go.

In fact, they put on such a good performance that Alan can't help noticing. But when he actually asks Kelly for a date, she's awkward and tongue-tied. Why is it so easy pretending to be in love with Marcus and so hard to even talk to Alan?

Father, Brother (Ruke), and Eldest Brother (Jac). She had a best friend who grew up right along with her as her neighbor (Judy). I guess you could say she was into wrestling. The dream of being a pro wrestler as a child and everything. But along the way her dream changed for some reason. ~ Hunt Kentin. "Are you sure you're okay, sweetie?" she asks. I take the ice pack back. I nod, but it hurts. My brain feels jostled by the littlest movements. "Yeah," I gasp, holding in any acknowledgment of pain. "I'm fine. Thanks." She glances down, and I catch her eyeing my bruised shins. They took the brunt of the impact. "Football," I explain. She nods. "That's a rough sport," she says. A pause. She walks back to her desk. Then, she stops. She turns around. She looks me in the eyes. Her face is solemn. "Hit 'em harder," she instructs. I nod and almost smile. "I will." *********************************************** It's 1998, and seventeen-year-old Stephanie "Stevie" Rogers is attempting the unthinkable: she wants to be the first female football player at Truman High. Too bad the team, headed by her ex and a sexist coach, won't let it happen. Then of course there's her sexist step-dad, who can't know she's playing football or her life as she knows it would end. If it weren't for her cute guitar-playing best friend, Calvin, all hope might be lost. But with his help, and the discovery of a secret so scandalous it could rock the entire school, she may finally get her time under the stadium lights. *************************************************************************** "You're outnumbered. You need allies if you're gonna survive the season. These guys are gonna have your back. You need them." "I don't need anyone," I insist. "Ha," he hiccups. "Yes, actually, you do." He ploinks me on the nose. I scowl. "No one is invincible." I continue to scowl. He sighs. "Just trust me on this one. Okay?" My face softens a little. He's just trying to help. "Fine," I comply. "But don't expect me to smile about it." He grins. "That's too bad. You're pretty when you smile." "Shut up."

I Love that You're in My Life

25 parts Complete

Eighteen-year old shy Alana has never been kissed by a guy, or been in a relationship of any sort. When the popular and cheery Gino starts to show interest in her, she waves it off as it being his character. But after eighteen years of practically no experience in the romance department of life, Alana finally starts getting what she's hoped for. And yet, she still asks herself the questions, "What is love? Is it truly worth it?" just as she had when she was single. Note: There will be sensuality and sexual material as the story progresses (from chapter fourteen). Note 2: This is a feel-good romance story, not the typical dramatic high school story filled with angst. Disclaimer: The names of shops, companies and other locations are purely made up for story purposes and not related to any shops with similar (or same) names in any way and, if so, are purely coincidental. *Cover courtesy of omg_poptarts!
