It has been ten years since Amelia was adopted by Lord and Lady Baldwin, and publicly recognized as a member of the Nobility. Now it is time for her to step out into high society and be recognized as something completely different- a debutante. A young woman now eligible for marriage.

Amelia has never quite fit into the world of high-society. Having been born into poverty and adopted as a child, it has always seemed to her that she is the black sheep of the bunch. 'Ladylike' has never been a word that she would use to describe herself. She has never viewed herself as the marriageable-type, and has never found herself to care much for the idea of courtships.

And yet, in the tangles of 19th Century London, a young lady has no choice. After all, Amelia's elder sister- the perfect daughter, with golden curls and a flawless face- has already secured an Earl to court. The two of them do not care much for each other, but love is not what matters. It is all about status and tradition.

But in a world where it is unheard of for a woman to marry for love, Amelia soon discovers that her own happily ever after may not be as impossible as she though. But why is it the Earl's eyes that keep drawing Amelia in? And what if the rules surrounding the strict and formal courtships are rules that Amelia simply does not want to follow?

After all, she has never been much of a Lady.

***Stand-alone sequel to Pauper Princess- though suggested, you do not have to read the first book to understand this one***

When Agatha becomes the Everard's governess, she's grateful for a way to escape her dark past. That is until her growing feelings for the mysterious Lord of the house begin to present an even greater risk. ***** The Everard's are one of the most esteemed families in Wickhurst. And Benedict, the Lord of Devonshire and the eldest of the clan, is as mysterious and brooding as anyone The Town has ever seen. His face is marked with scars, and no one dares to speak on how he got them. Known to all as 'the beast,' the townsfolk tremble in his wake. But little does he know that he is about to meet his match in Agatha Blair, his sisters' new governess. Agatha is witty, smart and gives him a run for his money when he tries to peel back the layers of who she really is. She truly intrigues him more than any woman he has met but she is a governess and he is a Lord. I looked at his eyes and put up a strong face. His eyes bore into mine as much as mine into his. It was like he could read my mind and reach out to my soul just by looking into my eyes. I tried to read his thoughts, too, but it felt like he had blocked me out this time. Nothing seemed clear to me anymore. Tears were burning behind my eyes and threatening to pour out. I forced myself to hold them back and asked him, "Just revenge?" Without a ting of emotion on his face, he said, "Just Revenge." ********************************************* Amelia Lawson had a perfect life. The Auction

62 parts Complete Mature

Working three jobs and attending med school was not the direction Atlas thought his life was going. He thought he'd find a mistress, go to school and then work to support his owner after graduating. After all, wouldn't his owner appreciate him wanting to work for her, support her? He hadn't anticipated being thrown to the curb and left to fend for himself upon telling his parents he was going to follow his dreams to become a doctor. Almost done with his schooling and his scholarships retracted, Atlas is faced with a tough choice. Does he let the school withhold his degree and try to go back to school after he has worked for a few years and earned enough to pay off his debt and graduate, or does he enter himself in the university's annual scholarship auction? Amelia, the first born daughter of Hannah and Weston is well aware her parents aren't going to let her attend the annual scholarship auction with them. Sure, it is selling submissives just like the facilities her parents despise so much, but this is different. Submissives sign themselves up for this auction, an exchange of themselves for their education. Is it really such a bad thing? It seems like a fair trade to Amelia considering submissives would eventually be bought by a dominant anyways. It may take a little convincing, but Amelia is set on going because it isn't about buying a submissive, but rather showing her parents that she is ready to have one.
