{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

"WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Everyone in the room, including the new professor, was stunned when she yelled. He turned his head towards us and asked, "Do you have any problems, miss?" I can tell he's looking at me even if he's talking to my bestfriend. I looked up and we held eyes for a few moments before I return to my senses. I quickly replied on behalf of my oh-so-overreacting bestfriend, "Nothing, sir" "Oh sorry, my fault; I tend to overreact. Again, my apologies." Ellie said. She was about to take a seat when the new professor abruptly stopped her. "Did I tell you to take a seat?" Oh my god. "No, sir" she replied, dropping her head. "And you, follow me to my office immediately," he said, pointing at me. "Me? But, sir, I did not-" "No buts," he stated. Because he is our new professor and principal, I don't have a choice except to follow him. "I'm sorry, Avivi," Ellie said quietly. I sighed and nodded my head. I noticed him waiting for me outside the room. He motioned for me to approach him, which I did. As I approached him, he spoke one word that has always made me shiver He cupped my face and said, "Mine." - Book 1: MINE Highest Rankings #1 Forcelove out of 11 stories #1 Urban out of 77 stories #2 Stalker out of 14.1K stories #3 Force out of 4.3K stories #3 Protective out of 126 stories #5 Psychological out of 664 stories #8 Possessive out of 761 stories #11 Mine out of 1.12K stories #13 Psycho out of 14.4K stories #19 Psychological out of 16.9k stories #20 Jealousy out of 1.61K stories #27 Obsession out of 15.8K stories #38 Psycho-thriller out of 4.41K stories #145 Hot out of 5.29K stories Okay, enjoy reading!

this story is about a scientist in Antarctica slowly losing his sanity I can feel the corners of my lips tug upwards and before I know it, I'm cackling. My laughter rings through the empty room, bouncing off the walls as I double over in hysterics. Despite the dire situation, I can't seem to stop. With each passing second, my giggles become more uncontrollable, more manic. As I catch my breath, I try to reassure myself. "Everything will be fine," I tell myself, punctuating my sentence with another bout of laughter. "Because, because!" I repeat, and my voice breaks into another round of giggles. But soon, my mirth turns to misery as my laughter becomes sobs. I collapse on my hands and knees, tears streaming down my face until they blur my vision. The tears burn my skin, adding to my anguish. I can't even cry in peace, can't even surrender to my despair without feeling physical pain. "Oh god, I ruin everything Johnny- I'm sorry!" I cry out, my voice cracking. "I'm supposed to keep care of you and I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Johnny!" I scream, pounding my fists on the cold, hard floor in frustration. It's no use. Nothing can save me. I feel my tears freezing on my face and I quickly dry them with the back of my hand. I crawl over to the fire, seeking warmth and comfort. But there's no comfort to be found.
