Soulmates- You'll either hate or love the idea of them. In this alternate universe the moment you have skin to skin contact with your soulmate, a tattoo of something special between the two will appear. 

Depending on the amount of compassion or love one has for the other- The more vibrant the others tattoo will become. If one doesn't feel such passion for their soulmate, their soulmate's mark dims and eventually- it can fade completely. This will erase ones memories of any type of 'love' once held for the other. You don't always have to fall inlove with your romantic soulmate, sometimes it's just better to let it fade. But once marks fade, it can mess with people's lives and health. No one knows how to tell the difference between a platonic or romantic mark. Its usually easy to settle between though. 

With these two influencers- Tommyinnit and RanbooLive....Well, it got a little complicated to say the least. When Tommy is faced with self homophobia he wants to assume the marks are platonic. Ranboo however, knew they were romantic from first touch. But if you'd like to know their story- Stay and Read!

When you turn 14, you get a tattoo that describes your soulmate. As you spend more time with them, it gets more detailed. But when you kiss your soulmate for the first time, you tattoo glows and shows their name. But this only happens when it is love and love only. (So if you just kiss someone to kiss them then your tattoo won't glow) As for your soulmate dying, your tattoo turns black and shows a small picture of them with their name under. After three days it goes away and you never get another tattoo. Disclaimer: I do not own the PJO or HoO characters. I wish I did though, but sadly that title belongs to Uncle Rick. I also do not own any songs, bands, brands, etc. Also I suck at descriptions. And my writing starts off kinda bad and super short but trust me, it gets better, so yeah. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
