Alma peregrine has always been alone, sort of. While she has had friends in the past none of them really stuck. Now she has her duties as an ymbrene she is less alone as she has her children! But there will always be that part of her that craves closer contact with those her age.
Jake and Y/n have recently lost their grandfather, Abe to a hollow attack and have their entire life thrown out of whack. When Jake's therapist suggests a trip to Carnholm to 'separate fact from fiction' Y/n tags along. What will happen when the ymbrene and the older portman meet?
