Torn away from her country at an expendable age, Princess Maera von Callahan has remained in the very country that had venged a debilitating war against her homeland, Nakland, wiping out half of her people. As the bond Maera shares with Kardan and  the crew she put together along the way built on trust and hope, it still might not be enough to lead Princess Maera into the start of her destiny. She will make a crippling discovery that alters the directory of the intimate relationship she wants with Kardan, and her dire fate, as it causes a war that hangs in the balance.
