The ice cold monster and greatest enemy to the King makes a return though, and is willing to do absolutely anything to achieve destiny and revenge, even if that means taking who the King loved most-

As Wukong unveiled the siren's secrets, he realized he wasn't just fighting for his own life, but for Macaque's, too.

During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning. On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.
