Growing up, Dina had the perfect mother and father, well not really. In the public's eye Finn(her father) and Jessie(her mother) were the perfect married couple, they had one child and a dog, a $1.4 million home, Finn was a police officer and Jessie was a stay-at-home mom. See? Perfect! Although Dina saw differently; her mother was an alcoholic and verbally abused her. Her dad did his best to control the situation when he was there, he didn't want either of his girls to hurt each other or get hurt. But Dina had learned from the young age of 7 that she was ugly and disgusting, and there was no way she would ever be pretty enough for anyone to love her. The beginning of the story picks up where the story's description leaves off....
