in 2006 a bizarre new phenomenon happened at the Chernobyl nuclear exclusion zone. that event has been replayed over and over throughout the zones history known as the emission.
Flash Forward several years later the exclusion zone has expanded considerably.
But inside the zone untold numbers of people now call it their home.
Those who inhabit the zone range from religious fanatics to those who wish to destroy the mutants of the zone to those who want to protect it from the outside and many others in a gray area but most are there for one reason and one reason only to get paid.
Unless they are the faction known as monolith then they serve their deity and they will kill whoever they please.
But this story is not about any of the factions this is how I met someone interesting.All Rights Reserved

The Zone: Life and Death by Psynexus

Reports of fence-hoppers known as Stalkers (Scavenger, Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, Robber) seeking wealth, adventure or asylum within inspire him to risk everything in pursuit of the money his family desperately needs. But with the promise of wealth and adventure also come rumors of environmental anomolies that defy the laws of physics and deadly mutants with terrifying properties. Yuriy must make his way to the Zone, evading military patrols along the border of the ecological disaster zone, steer clear of anomalies able to crush an APC to the size of a tin can or reduce a man to fragments with explosive force, and establish himself in one of the several factions observing loose alliances or vendettas with each other as they further their own goals in the Zone. Along the way, Virtue makes some friends and enemies while experiencing the horrors of the Zone first-hand. While on a mission, his team and him discover disturbing evidence that sheds new life on the supposed accidental explosion in Reactor 4 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. They decide to take matters into their own hands and make for the inaccessible center of the Zone to uncover the truth behind what really happened and discover the origin of the Zone.

As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.
