"This is not a nice story." So begins the tale of Trace, a Boy who learns about the nature of power on an Island most have only heard of in children's stories. Peter Pan by way of Lord of the Flies, The Found Boys details Trace's transformation from silent devotee of a mysterious, seemingly all-powerful figure called He Himself, to a person who takes control of his life by refusing to accept the origin stories crafted by He Himself to explain and constrain the world. Shaken by a small, toy House he finds in the Twisted Wood one day, Trace goes on a journey to understand where he really came from, encountering mermaids, crows who speak in riddles, and robots, among other fantastic creatures, along the way, and overcoming bitter betrayals from those he has come to trust the most. In his quest to leave the Island and get back Home, Trace must decide if he is willing to grow up and destroy the only home he has ever known. The Found Boys is not a very nice story, but it is a needful one for those who have ever felt lost in dark woods.
Ashlyn Pendragon has had a perfect life since the day she was born. She's been schooled in her Princess duties as the future queen of Camelot. However, her whole world is thrown for a loop when she turns 15 and her aunt, Morgana sends forth her army to end the reign of her father, Arthur. Upon receiving word only moments before the attack, her father gives her a magic bean and tells her to think of a place called The Enchanted Forest before hiding her.
She finds an old story book landed on the story of Peter Pan and begins to read small things, like how their are mermaids and fairies, how you can fly, and never age, and if you say the words "I believe" the shadow will come and take you away to Neverland. Hiding the bean she runs over to her window and whispers the words where she is taken by the shadow to Neverland and drops her in the ocean where she has to swim before reaching the beach where she falls asleep.
Upon waking she becomes face to face with a mysterious boy who claims to be the one and only Peter Pan who she finds out is nothing like the story and is indeed cruel, manipulative, and most of all a trickster.
Ashlyn will be on the ride of her life as she uncovers all the secrets of Neverland. Can she get back to her kingdom? Will Peter let her leave? Or will Ashlyn fall for Peter Pan's charms and never go back? Find out in The Princess and The Lost Boy
