Fleur's a genius with an IQ of 184 and practically knows everything about anything, every language you could think of, and is extremely sporty and competitive. She graduated high-school at 13, finished university at 17, and finished medical school at 21 years of age.
But something bad happened, she needed a new start, she needed to get away, from the bad memories, from the past, so she did the only reasonable thing, she accepted a internship at Seattle Grace Hospital.
