Our protagonist is , a quiet, unassuming girl who is not good at making friends and would rather keep her distance. She is a student of class D, which is where the school dumps its inferior students in order to ridicule them. After meeting Horikita Suzune and Kushida Kikyo, two other students in her class, Kiyone's situation begins to change.
