Tightrope
Becca and Will were once best friends. From immediately clicking at the school bus stop at five-years-old, to bonding over their love for hockey and future ambitions, it was always Becca and Will. Will and Becca. Even as they navigated the toughest parts of their lives, they could always count on each other. Becca had met Will when she had needed him the most, and Becca stood by Will through the times he could barely keep it together with everything going on at home. Nevertheless, as inseparable as they were, Becca one day simply disappeared. She left without explaining or even saying goodbye, and Will never heard from her again. That is, until eleven years later, she showed up at his team's arena, where he was the star player for the Chicago Whispers, claiming she was the new team publicist. Eleven years of silence made Will want nothing to do with her, but still, she pushed and held onto their lingering love for each other, determined to explain everything and get back in his life, even if it means walking the tightrope that hangs between their past life and the present. Still, as time passes and life stories are exchanged, Becca and Will might just realize that they aren't meant to be best friends this time around. Maybe, just maybe, they are meant to be so much more. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED TO @dearrheartbreak NAME Val RComplete

When a total stranger knows what eats you, maybe they are your one true love. Even if you don't know it yet. || On Friday the 13th, two twenty-something, Daya and Mike, end up in a mutually beneficial arrangement: she is his caregiver after he breaks his foot; he provides room&board to help her out with a teeny-tiny cash flow problem. Not a whiff of a romance, strictly business. And for a while, all is good... for about five minutes, that is. What can an overweight man, a video game obsessed librarian, know about her quitting a challenging sport of figure skating, Daya scoffs. He needs to get off her case and sort out his binge eating! What does a celery-chewing skating diva care about his failure as a PhD candidate, Mike wonders. She is just replacing her dreams with his non-existing problems instead of pursuing her one true passion! With the two already teetering on the brink of mutually assured destruction, oil splashes onto the flames when Daya resumes her never-ending quest for skating triumph at Canadian Nationals. Off Ice.
"I'd give it all up for you, Avery," Finn urges. His hands are gripping onto my cheeks and I don't know why I'm letting him get so close to me when I told myself I wouldn't let this happen. All I know is that I could cry at his touch. I miss him so much. "The job, the team, everything," he continues. I swallow the lump in my throat as my eyes dart between his. He seems so desperate and I want to sock myself in the jaw when I'm tempted to wipe the single tear that fell to his cheek. "Because I've seen what it's like to live without you. I know what it's like to see you with someone else, and nothing is worth that. Not even the NHL." The sequel to Ice.Complete
High School Survival Theory
Life is hard. Specially when you're a high schooler. You can never know when your life is about to go up. And you 'especially' can never know when it's about to go down. But you can always take some precautions to avoid outcome of the hit. At least that's what I thought before the great 'Ashton Fellan' (pardon the sarcasm) interposed himself in my life. ... "We don't have the prettiest history. We didn't exactly like each other when we first met. You're my rival's girlfriend. We weren't interested in becoming friends with each other. But now in this difficult time, we're befriending. You'll help me to find the person who leaked that photo and prove to the coach that the article was not a self-promo to challenge his ideology." "What's in this for me?" "I won't report on you for invading my privacy. Trust me when I say my dad knows people." I roll my eyes. Never get mixed up with people with money. But maybe a little help won't be so bad after all. So I take his hand and shake it. "Okay, we have a deal." He smiles. "Now let's drink to celebrate." And I already have a bad feeling about this. *cover picture collected from Pinterest* © 2020 SHEONACC001 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.Complete
